Two former Sri Lanka Army intelligence personnel have been arrested in connection with the abduction and assault of journalist Keith Noyahr in May 2008.
The suspects, aged 42 and 46, were apprehended yesterday (01) in the Nawagaththegama and Elayapaththuwa areas by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
The arrests follow renewed investigations into the incident, which occurred on May 22, 2008, when Noyahr was abducted and assaulted in Dehiwala.
The suspects, both retired members of the Military Intelligence Corps (MIC), are residents of Nawagaththegama and Ulukkulama.
