Two underground oil pipelines from India to Sri Lanka!

In the event the Indian Oil Corporation sets up an oil refinery in Trincomalee, it was reported that two underground oil pipelines will be laid to pump oil from India to Sri Lanka.

The experts who have conducted a feasibility study have shown that it is more economical to bring oil from India to Sri Lanka through oil pipelines than to transport it by ships.

It was also reported that the authorities of the two countries have held initial discussions regarding the construction of the new oil refinery.

The Indian Oil Corporation, which currently operates about 225 filling stations in the country, has planned to increase the number of filling stations in the future.
