Former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Russia – Udayanga Weeratunga has been permitted by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court today (23) to travel overseas.
Mr. Weeratunga had requested permission to travel overseas until Nov. 22, 2023.
He s a suspect in the case filed for allegedly being involved in the embezzlement of state funds over the procurement of MiG-27 fighter jets from Ukraine.
