The Police have confirmed that no suspects have been arrested in connection with the recent attack on the United National Party (UNP) operational office in Dambulla.
Officer in Charge of the Dambulla Police Station, Chief Inspector R.R.M. Wasantha stated that a special Police team is investigating the incident but no arrests have been made so far.
UNP General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara has urged the Police to take the attack seriously and ensure a peaceful election process.
The People’s Action for Free and Fair Elections (PAFFREL) also condemned the attack and called for immediate action to prevent further incidents.
