Train services on the Colombo-Badulla mainline have been obstructed from the early hours of this morning (Jan. 31) after a landslide that took place between Thalawakelle and Kotagala.
According to railway officials, the Colombo bound Udarata Menke express train from Badulla has been halted at Thalawakelle railway station while the goods train from Kandy to Badulla is at the Kotagala railway station.
Workers have been deployed to clear the obstructed lines.
