The van used by the suspects who pulled out and stole an ATM machine of a private bank in Gampola was found abandoned in Peradeniya. Vehicle driver was also found tied up in the van.
It was reported that four masked men arrived in a van, tied up the security officer and pulled out the ATM machine at around 12.40 am today.
Police said the cash amount in the ATM machine has not been disclosed so far.
The Gampola Police are conducting further investigations.
