Vegetable traders say that businessmen have said that prices of both upcountry and low country vegetables have risen again.
The prevailing rainy weather across the country have severely affected vegetable cultivation and the inability to meet with the demand had led to a price hike, they say.
Traders also lament that despite the high cost required to procure the vegetables, the profits they get in return are quite low.
