Vehicles near Prez secretariat returned to respective institutions

The vehicles that had been brought to the Presidential Secretariat from various government institutions, were returned to their respective institutions today (Sep. 01), the President’s Media Division states. 

Today, 19 vehicles were released, with approximately 15 being collected by officials from the relevant agencies who arrived on prior notice.

A total of 15 vehicles were returned to their respective institutions today, including 08 from the Road Development Authority (RDA), 03 from the Ministry of Finance, and 01 each from the Southern Provincial Council, the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, and the Department of Wildlife Conservation.

Senior Additional Secretary Roshan Gamage, Additional Secretary Mahesh Hewawitharana, and other officials were present at the event.

Meanwhile, in a separate notice, the PMD has said that in the list which accompanied yesterday’s press release regard these vehicles, the name listed under number 95 should be corrected from Udaya Shantha Gunasekara to Udayakantha Gunathilaka.

The PMD further notes : 

Additionally, we would like to inform you that the TOYOTA HILUX cab bearing the number PE-1580, which was temporarily assigned to Mr. Udayakantha Gunathilaka, has been returned to the Presidential Secretariat on September 23, 2024.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to former MP Udaya Shantha Gunasekara.
