Veteran singer Christopher Paul passes away

Veteran singer Christopher Paul has passed away at the age of 87.

Born on April 10, 1936 in Suduwella, Moratuwa, Mr. Paul studied at St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa.

Sunil Shantha, who was an expert in the music industry, taught music to Mr. Paul who sang his first song in 1958 called “Pena Vile Meda Olu Male” with his sister Ms. Bernadette Paul.

‘Wathura Naala Thetha Konde Kada, Haa Mal Pipenne, Ruwan Thoran Thana, Ela Dola Ganga Yawi Gala, Rama Sitha Obai Mamai and Rosa Malak Dutuwama’ are a few extremely popular songs sung by Mr. Paul.
