The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) said that water tariffs will be increased from August.
Its General Manager Wasantha Ilangasinghe said the proposal to increase water tariffs has been forwarded to the Cabinet for approval and if approved, the water bills will be increased from August.
However, she said that no final decision has been taken so far on the percentage of increasing water tariffs.
