We are not responsible for this govt’s actions: Basil
Former Minister Basil Rajapaksa said the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) is not ready to take the responsibility for the decisions taken by the current government.
He pointed out that although they expressed their support to the government, it is not a government formed by the SLPP.
Mr. Rajapaksa expressed these views while joining the ‘360 programme’ aired on “TV Derana” last night (12).
“If we can be patient for a few more days without worrying, I’m confident that the economic crisis will be resolved. Now there is no ‘Aragalaya’. What is the difference? The people wanted to remove the one who was elected with 6.9 million votes. He left. What has happened now? Is there food now? Even if it has our blessings, we do take the responsibility for the government,” he said.
