Rasanga Dissanayake, a wedding photographer, has been arrested for using a drone to capture photos of the final Randoli perahera near the Temple of the Tooth.
Sri Lanka Air Force personnel shot down the drone flying above Dalada Maligawa and subsequently detained Dissanayake at a nearby hotel. The use of drones without permission in the area is prohibited.
Two other individuals were also arrested for similar drone activities during the third day of the Randoli Perahera.
