An accomplice of large-scale drug trafficker Gamage Pradeep Suranga alias Welle Suranga was arrested while selling drugs to students outside the Ocean University’s Regional Centre in Mattakkuliya, the Police Special Task Force said.
Along with the suspect, 1,000 tablets of 150 mg have been taken into police custody.
The suspect is a 35-year-old resident of Colombo 15. He has been handed over to the Mattakkuliya Police for further investigation.
The raid was conducted under the orders and instructions of STF Commanding Officer Deputy Inspector General of Police Waruna Jayasundara.
