Wimal accuses Namal & SLPP of being insensitive to people’s plights

MP Wimal Weerawansa accused the members of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) of holding friendly cricket encounters without being concerned about the people who go through economic difficulties and are struggling with hunger.

“When we look at the people, we feel their sadness. There is a conflict in our conscience since we failed to prevent this. Yesterday, Namal Rajapaksa and other SLPP members had a friendly cricket encounter. Are they out of their minds?,” the MP said while addressing a public rally held in Colombo recently.

He said the time has come for the people to end this cruel game of the SLPP members as they have no feelings for the people.

He said that various forces have emerged by holding rallies and since those rallies are not real people’s rallies, the only option that can end the insensitive games of the SLPP is the Freedom People’s Alliance.
