The International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples is celebrated today (09).
The theme chosen for this year’s celebration is “Indigenous Youth as Agents of Change for Self-determination.”
The purpose of this theme is to re-emphasise the role the youth should play in climate change related activities as well as efforts for justice.
