A young couple about to get married had drowned in Dee-al Oya, a branch of Attanagalu Oya, when they were bathing in it yesterday (7).
They are 19-year-old residents of Veyangoda and Kuda Oya, Labuthenna.
A search operation is underway with the support of the Veyangoda Police, the residents, army and navy to locate the couple.
