A 19 year old girl has fallen ill after consuming a drink purchased from a cafeteria at the People’s Park Shopping Complex, Colombo, says the Dam Street police.
The victim is a resident of the Pitakotte area.
According to the police, the bottle had contained a cleaning agent instead of the drink.
Police say that statements have been obtained by 03 employees at the cafeteria and 04 more at the cafeteria’s main office.
Police say that they found cleaning agents in two more empty drink bottles at the premises.
