A young man has fallen off the Bambarakanda mountain area to his death.
The deceased is an undergraduate of the Peradeniya University.
It is said that he had not prioritized his safety while exploring the area, which is home to the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka.
Residents of the area urge visitors to be cautious and seek the assistance of an experienced guide when exploring the area, especially due to the prevailing rainy weather.
