Akihabara, the new Japanese style cafè at WTC (Pics)

A feast for the eyes as well as for the palatte, Japanese cuisine is globally renowned for being extremely healthy and is also a favourite among many Sri Lankans in Colombo.

Akihabara - a new Japanese style cafè and restaurant opened its doors at the World Trade Centre, Colombo last week.

Minister of Law & Order - Ranjith Maddumabandara attended the opening as chief guest and graced by a host of distinguished guests.

The restaurant is owned by Japanese entrepreneur and philanthropist - Hiroshi Morisaki, who arrived in Sri Lanka a few years back.

The opening was graced by distinguished guests and contributions were also made to schools with needs.

In addition to Japanese cuisine, Akihabara also offers coffees and fresh fruit juices.
