The ‘Sarvajana Balaya’ alliance presidential candidate and leader of the Mawbima Janatha Party (MJP) entrepreneur Dilith Jayaweera’s presidential election national strategic plan unveiling ceremony had commenced this morning (31), at the Monarch Imperial Hotel in Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte.

This strategic plan is noted as a historic milestone, being recognized as “Sri Lanka’s first Presidential Election Strategic Plan that was brought to life by the people’s opinions.”

This is the first time Sri Lanka has seen a strategic plan that was presented in draft form for public consultation and intellectual discourse; the final plan was arrived at after eight weeks of extensive feedback from stakeholders, the MJP leader said in a post on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter).

“It was our intention that a sincere, sensible election manifesto must be devoid of empty rhetoric and vague promises, and instead be a set of practical strategies that enable us to achieve our objective of a Happy Nation for all Sri Lankans,” he said.

The second draft of the strategic plan of the ‘Sarvajana Balaya’ alliance had also been presented to the representatives of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) on August 21.
