Ground breaking ceremony for Chinese housing project held (Pics)
A groundbreaking ceremony was held in Moratuwa today (Dec. 27) for a China aid subsidized housing project for the low income category.
Prime Minister – Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, Chinese ambassador in Sri Lanka – Mr. Qi Zhenhong as well as the Chinese project management company, 3 Chinese contractors and officials of the Urban Development authority attended the event.
The project aims to construct 1,888 housing units for the low income category and 108 units for veteran artistes under financial aid of RMB 552 million by the Chinese government.
