CID summons SLC CEO Ashley De Silva

Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) Controversial CEO Ashley De Silva has been summoned by CID on Thursday, 'Cricket Age' reports.

SLC COO Jerome Jayarathne has also been told to come along with Ashley to give the statement on South Africa tour missing money, it adds.

Sri Lanka Cricket is yet to receive a final 15 per cent payment installment from Sony Pictures Networks India Ltd. in lieu of the broadcasting rights for the recent South Africa series.

Although broadcaster has paid the money, but the money has gone to an account that does not belong to the SLC. The particular account is yet to be found.

A revelation came last month that an attempt was made to deposit to an outside account a sum of Rs. five million US dollars due from Sony Pictures for the England series.

On Tuesday, announced that the Ernst and Young (E & Y) will commence a special audit pertaining to Media Broadcasting Rights and Receipts and Payments conducted by the board during the year 2013 to 2018 period.
