Accordingly, the Appeal Court had ordered the tournament to be suspended until the petition was considered.
The Customs Cricket team said that they had won the Governor’s Tropy last year but the SLC had not given them the opportunity to enter the tournament, but had allowed the runners up of the Governor’s trophy tournament the Nugegoda Sports Club to enter the tournament. This they claim is unfair to them.
In addition, the Kalutara Urban Sports Club who were placed last at the Premier “B” category had been given the opportunity to enter the under 23.
