Hera poised to break another world record

Sri Lankan captain Rangana Herath is poised break another world record.

With 357 Test wickets, Herath stands six short now of eclipsing Daniel Vettori's tally to become the most successful left-arm spinner in history.

The first Test match against Bangladesh will commence at 10.00am at the Galle International Stadium today (07).

In 16 Tests between these teams, Bangladesh have lost 14 games. However both draws have come in the last four years.

It is also singular that the Bangladesh coach is none other than former Sri Lankan player and national team coach - Chandika Hathurusinghe, who was also a former teammate of Rangana Herath when they both played for the Moors Sports Club some time back.
