Avishka’s century bags Sri Lanka victory

Sri Lanka won the first one-day cricket match with South Africa by 14 runs, last night.

Opening batsman Avishka Fernando scored his 3rd century in his one-day career, scoring 118 runs in 115 balls, with 10 fours and two sixers. 

Charith Asanka scored 71 runs as well.

Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 300 runs in nine wickets, in the allotted 50 overs. South Africa scored 286 in 6 six wickets at the end of their 50 overs.
