Ariane Knighton following in Usain Bolt's footsteps

Youngster Ariane Knighton finished the 200m in 19.49 seconds, becoming the fourth fastest man in the world 200m.

Ariane broke his own under 20 world record of 19.84 seconds, and set a new world record of 19.49 seconds.

Ariane’s record is just behind Jamaica's Usain Bolt's world record of 19.19 seconds, which has gained world  focus.

Only Johan Blake (19.26 seconds) and Michael Johnson of the United States (19.32 seconds) are ahead of Knighton's time in the 200m.

Knighton broke Usain Bolt's world record of 19.93 seconds, beating the previous world record of 19.84 seconds.At the age of 17, after completing the qualifications for the Tokyo Olympics, Knighton became one of the most famous short-distance runners of last year.

At the Tokyo Olympics, Canada's Andre de Gross finished second in 19.62 seconds, followed by the United States and Knighton became fourth with a timing of 19.93 seconds in the final.
