Ban on Kithruwan partly lifted Featured

Sri Lanka Cricket has partly lifted the one year ban imposed on Kithruwan Vithanage over a nightclub brawl.

The ban against playing in any match organized by SLC is to end on 26 June 2017, and he has appealed the decision.

Now, he is able to play in the domestic tournaments.

However, he will not be eligible for selection to play for the country until June 26 next year.

He excelled for Tamil Union with the bat in his first match since the ban, scoring 125 runs against the SSC at the weekend.

Kithruwan has played in 10 Tests and six ODIs.
