Sri Lanka’s Cricket Selection Committee chief Pramodya Wickramasinghe has said that there was a ‘conspiracy’ by a certain group behind the national squad’s disappointing run in the 2023 ICC World Cup.
He said this today after the team’s return to the island today (10), after being knocked out of the World Cup tournament. The team suffered 7 defeats and managed to win only two games.
Alleging that this ‘group’ is trying to take control of Sri Lankan cricket, Wickramasinghe said all the related facts would be made public in the coming two days.
