Crucial SL – England match today

Published

on

The final match for Sri Lanka in the Super 12 round of the 2020 World Cup cricket tournament will be held today (05) against England.

It will be held in Sydney at 1.30pm SL time.

With Australia winning the match against Afghanistan yesterday, the Sri Lankan team had to withdraw from the World Cup this year.

But if the Sri Lankan team wins today’s match, it will give Australia the opportunity to enter the semi-finals. However, if England wins, it will most certainly blur the World Cup dream of hosting Australia as both Australia and England’s bonus points would be tied then.

This will lead to the second position being determined on the Net Run Rate and give England the edge.
