Sri Lankan cricketer Danushka Gunathilaka has been arrested in Sydney last night (05) over a complaint made by a woman, reports say.
The rest of the team departed Sydney without Gunathilaka.
‘Sunday Times’ reports that team manager Mahinda Halangoda was granted only five minutes to speak with Gunathillaka.
Gunathillaka had remained with the SL squad despite being ruled out of the Twenty20 World Cup with a hamstring injury and Ashen Bandara was called in as replacement. He played only one match in the tournament where he was out for a first ball duck against Namibia.
