Dilantha’s ‘Rock and Race’ concert on 23rd

The ‘Rock and Race’ concert organised by racing champion Dilantha Malagamuwa to raise funds to participate in ‘Lamborghini Super Trofeo European Championship 2023’ will be held at the Viharamahadevi Open Air Theatre in Colombo on April 23 (Sunday) .

Speaking at a press conference held in Negombo recently, Dilantha said that the income from this concert, where many famous singers will perform, will be used for the racing tournaments to be held in several European countries such as Italy, France, Belgium, Germany and Spain.

The ‘Lamborghini Super Trofeo European Championship 2023’ is scheduled to begin on May 5 in Italy.

CAA seizes bottled water stock in Hemmatagama over violations

The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) raided a factory in Hemmatagama, Mawanella, seizing over 3,000 bottles of drinking water prepared for distribution.

Investigations revealed that the factory’s Health Ministry registration certificate had expired and was obtained using false information. The seized stock included bottles of varying sizes from 500 ml to 19 liters.

The CAA emphasized that falsely claiming standards or endorsements violates the CAA Act, and legal action will be taken against the violators. Regular raids are conducted to prevent consumer deception.
