Former cricket captain and opener of Sri Lanka – Dimuth Karunaratne is set to retire from international cricket following his 100th Test match, reports say.
The second Warne-Murali Test, set to begin on Thursday (Feb. 06) at the Galle International Cricket Stadium, will be his swansong.
According to reports, Karunaratne is to formally inform Sri Lanka Cricket of his decision tomorrow (Feb. 05).
Meanwhile, speaking to ‘Daily FT’, Karunaratne has also said that he plans to retire from all levels of cricket and migrate to Australia with his family next month.
