FFSL also seeking massive salary hike

The Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) is reportedly seeking a staggering salary hike for its staff, ‘Aruna’ reports.

Accordingly, the FFSL has prepared drafts to bring about a maximum salary increase of 114%.

However, the basis of the respective salary hike is said to be unclarified, raising questions among football circles.

The news report further notes :

It is also said that since the FFSL is yet to appoint a financial or administrative committee, the legality of such a salary hike without the recommendation of the above committees, can also be challenged.

According to reports, the salary hike has been proposed over the want of a FFSL bigwig who has taken up a monopolistic role at the FFSL.

The majority of those who would gain a 60% salary increase, are said to be supporters of the said individual.

However, it is said that there has been no consensus so far among the other FFSL bigwigs with regard to this matter.
