A Special Gazette has been issued by the Sports Minister suspending the registration of governing bodies for 05 sports.
The governing bodies are namely the Sri Lanka Archery Association, the Sri Lanka Kabaddi Federation, the Sri Lanka Wrestling Federation, the Sri Lanka Bridge Federation and the Sri Lanka Roller Skating Association.
The Director General of the Department of Sports Development – Prof. (Rear Admiral) Shemal Fernando has been appointed as the temporary Competent Authority to run their administrative activities.
