Sri Lanka’s first match under the Super Six Stage of ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 will be held against the Netherlands today (30) at 12.30 pm.

Sri Lanka qualified for the Super Six Stage by winning all four matches it played under the Group B while the Netherlands won three out of four matches and entered the Super Six Stage from Group A.

Meanwhile, fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera who did not play in the previous matches and was expected to join the team from the Super Six Stage, has been ruled out from the team due to his injury.

As a result, sources said he will be sent to Sri Lanka in the coming days.

If Sri Lanka wins two of the three matches, they will have the opportunity to easily enter the finals having already won against Oman and Scotland under Group B.

Sri Lanka will play against Zimbabwe and West Indies in the coming days and therefore it will be extremely important for Sri Lanka to win today’s match.
