Sri Lanka to face Afghanistan today

Published

on

The T20 World Cup Cricket match between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will commence at 09.30 am today (01) in Brisbane.

Meanwhile, the match between England and New Zealand is also scheduled to be held at the same stadium in the afternoon.

The Sri Lankan team, which has only 2 bonus points with it, remains at the fifth position in the score table and the chances of Sri Lanka to qualify for the semi-final round are very limited.

If Sri Lanka wins today’s match and the match against England, the team will get another 6 bonus points.

Currently, New Zealand and Australia occupy the first two positions in the first group with 5 bonus points each.

Sri Lanka’s chance to move forward will depend on how New Zealand and Australia play in the series.
