The Super Six Stage of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 will commence today (29).
Commencing the Super Six Stage, the hosts Zimbabwe will play against Oman in Bulawayo.
In the preliminary round of the Qualifier round, 10 teams competed in two groups and the top three teams in each group qualified for the Super Six Stage.
Accordingly, Zimbabwe, West Indies and the Netherlands from Group A, and Sri Lanka, Scotland and Oman from Group B qualified for the Super Six Stage.
In the Super Six Stage, one team will play three matches each and each of those three matches will be played with new teams from the other group.
Accordingly, the Sri Lankan team will compete with Zimbabwe, West Indies and the Netherlands.
The top two teams in the points table of the Super Six Round will qualify for the 2023 Cricket World Cup to be held in India.
The first match of the Sri Lankan team is scheduled to be held tomorrow (30) against the Netherlands, the second match is scheduled to be held on July 2 against the Zimbabwe team and the third match is scheduled to be held against the West Indies team on July 7.
