US has topped the medal table as the 2024 Paris Olympics came to an end yesterday (Aug. 11).
The US team bagged 126 medals in total, with 40 gold, 44 silver and 42 bronze medals.
China came in second with 91 medals in total, with 40 gold, 27 silver and 24 bronze medals.
Hosting nation – France landed 05th place with 16 medals, just behind Japan and Australia in 3rd and 4th places respectively.
