According to the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board (NDDCB), only 1,703 persons out of over 500,000 drug addicts have received treatment.

The NDDCB points out that this is due to the lack of sufficient physical and human facilities to rehabilitate drug users.

According to the NDDCB, there are around 100,000 heroin addicts, 50,000 ICE addicts, 300,000 cannabis addicts and another 100,000 addicted to pills.

But the capacity of non-government and government institutions in this country is only 10,000 per year and only 1,733 people have been treated in 2021.
