Visitors at Colombo Lotus Tower will soon be able to experience abseiling, its management says.
The pilot Abseiling of the Colombo Lotus Tower took place on Tuesday (07), and the management says it will be the tallest abseiling experience in South Asia.
Once it is opened to the public the exciting new adventure activity aims to bring the breathtaking views of Colombo as one descends the tower, surrounded by the city’s stunning skyline.
Major General S.A.P.P Samarasinghe (Retd) CEO and Director of the Colombo Lotus Tower told reporters that the iconic landmark has had over 1.3 million visitors since it opened in Sep. 2022.
He said that the skywalk experience will open in December 2023 while the restaurants and a Digital Arts Museum will open in December and January respectively.
However, the bungee jumping experience will be further delayed due to challenges faced when constructing the ramp, Maj. Gen. had added.
