A suspect who got into a bus transporting a group of trainees of a government institution in the foreign employment sector on an observation tour had attacked the official who was in charge of the group with acid.
According to the Ratnapura Police, six women including the official have been hospitalised due to injuries.
Police have arrested the suspect involved in the acid attack that took place in Ratnapura last evening (13).
The suspect is to be produced in the court and further investigations are being carried out by the Ratnapura Police Crime Division.
