Amaraweera resigns ; Pavithra & Jeevan sworn in
Former Ministers Pavithra Wanniarachchi and Jeevan Thondaman were sworn in as Cabinet Ministers before President Ranil Wickremesinghe a short while ago.
Ms.Wanniarachchi was sworn in as Wildlife and Forest Resources Conservation Minister while Ceylon Workers Congress (CWC) General Secretary Thondaman was sworn in as Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure Development Minister.
Earlier today, former Wildlife Minister Mahinda Amaraweera resigned from the ministerial portfolio of Wildlife and Forest Resources Conservation.
However, he will continue to function as the Minister of Agriculture.
