Another suspect who assisted in the murder of Sanjeewa Kumara Samararatne alias ‘Ganemulla Sanjeewa’ has been arrested.
The 23-year-old suspect, Julian Madhavan, is a resident of the Helamuthu Sevana area, Colombo 15.
The suspect was arrested yesterday (March 21) by officers of the Colombo Crimes Division in the Madampitiya Police Division.
The police stated that the suspect in question has been arrested on charges of aiding and abetting murder by pointing to the courtrooms located in the court complex.
Accordingly, 14 suspects have been arrested in connection with this crime so far.
The Colombo Crimes Division is continuing its investigations into the shooting death of organized criminal Sanjeewa Kumara Samararatne alias Ganemulla Sanjeewa at the Hulftsdorp No. 05 Magistrate’s Court on Feb. 19, 2025.
