The Minister of Agriculture and Plantation Industries Mahinda Amaraweera has stated that a Cabinet paper has been submitted to reduce the price of (MoP) fertilizer by another 50%.
Accordingly, the Cabinet paper is expected to be approved by President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
At present, public sector fertilizer companies have 28,600 metric tons of MoP fertiliser in stock, the ministry states.
