A 9-year-old child has died after she got accidentally strangled on a saree that was hung as a cradle in a house at Montecristo Watta in Nawalapitiya.
The accident had occurred last evening (27) and the police investigation revealed that the deceased child was strangled while playing in the cradle with another child.
The body has been placed in the Nawalapitiya Hospital.
