Doubts have been raised over an interview done by a local TV station while the CID is preparing to arrest the embassy official over his connection to a sex slave racket in Oman.

It is said that by yesterday, the Sri Lankan embassy in Oman had taken all required measures to send the suspended official – Mr. E. Kushan, who was functioning as the third secretary of the mission, back to Sri Lanka. Accordingly, he is to return either today or tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Mr. Kushan had told ‘Ada Derana’ that he will handover all details he has, pertaining to this racket, to authorities.

In addition, it was disclosed at the Committee on Public Accounts meeting on Tuesday (22) that complaints against the currently suspended Omani embassy officer were made since February this year but  a decision on the matter has been delayed.
