The members of the National Elections Commission are scheduled to meet Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardane this morning, the Prime Minister’s Media Division said.
The meeting will take place at the Prime Minister’s Office to discuss matters related to the Local Government Election.
EC Chairman Nimal Punchihewa said that following the meeting with the Prime Minister, it will be decided whether to postpone the polls.
He said that they will also discuss about the government officials who have submitted nominations to contest the election.
