A former assistant superintendent of the High Security Prison in Boossa, Galle was shot and killed in the Thalagaha area of Akmeemana, Galle, today (March 13) evening.
According to Police reports, two men on a motorcycle opened fire at the victim using a 9mm pistol while the victim was in his yard.
Investigations are currently underway.
