Fuel distribution increased
Arrangements have been made to increase the quantity of fuel distributed during the festive season to 4650 metric tons of Petrol 92 and 5500 metric tons of Auto Diesel per day, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said.
In a tweet, he also said that data from the last seven days of fuel sales shows a significant improvement of fuel sales and sales through the National Fuel Pass QR system.
“Overall percentages which were below 60% last week have improved to above 80% with the temporary suspension of 66 fuel stations that did not adhere to the NFP QR guidelines,” he said.
