An Indonesian woman has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) with a haul of cocaine valued at over Rs.230 million.
The Customs Narcotics Control Division said that they found a stock of 4 kg and 598 grams of cocaine hidden among printed books brought by the woman upon her arrival last evening (22).
This 42-year-old suspect arrived in the country from Addis Ababa Airport in Ethiopia via Doha Airport in Qatar.
Accordingly, she will be handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigation, the Customs said.
